A Summer Reading Must – The UNHP 2014 Biennial Report!
Want to know what we’ve been up to for the last two years? Are you wondering if your photo was featured in the UNHP 2014 Biennial Report? Go check it out!
In the last two years we have continued to achieve our mission through:
- Lending to improve affordable housing – UNHP’s loan portfolio currently focuses on energy and cost saving renovations
- Developing and renovating affordable housing – UNHP played a key role in renovating and preserving 69 multifamily buildings in the Northwest Bronx
- Organizing around and researching the issues that impact affordable housing – using the Multifamily Assistance Center and Building Indicator Project to partner with lenders, regulators, community groups, and the City of New York to aid in the improvement of tens of thousands of rental units
- Providing financial services – The Northwest Bronx Resource Center has assisted over 4000 Bronx residents through: the free tax preparation program, one-on-one coaching, resource fairs, workshops, and seminars, small business help and more. These services were made possible with the help of dedicated volunteers, interns, and partnering organizations: Ariva, Fordham Bedford Community Services, The Parodneck Foundation, The Financial Clinic, and Neighborhood Trust Financial Partners.
