Generous Sponsors, The Bronx Beer Hall and Revelers Make UNHP 2017 Fundraiser a Success!
UNHP’s 2017 Fundraiser at The Bronx Beer Hall on Wednesday September 13, 2017 was a networking, fundraising and good time success. Over 150 people attended UNHP’s annual fundraiser, held for the fourth time at The Bronx Beer Hall in the center of the historic Arthur Avenue Retail Market. The Bronx was highlighted in the food and drink with beers from Gun Hill Brewing Company, a gourmet non-stop pizza selection from Zero Otto Nove and a variety of handmade gelato from Caffe Gelato.
Thanks to our many sponsors and individual donors, UNHP was able to raise over $60,000 to support our work in the coming year, including our efforts to identify and address distressed multifamily buildings, share research around emerging issues in the Bronx and offer a wide variety of affordable housing and financial services to community residents. Sponsors were acknowledged on our custom pint glasses created by The Bronx Design Group.
Let’s not forget the UNHP Raffles! The wingspan for $20 was our top seller and special thanks to our raffle prize donors and our raffle sellers. With a New York Botanical Garden membership, 2 sets of Yankee tickets, Bronx Museum of the Arts membership, Fordham University and Monroe College swag, Bronx Beer Hall and From the Bronx.com goodie bags and a tour of the Edgar Allen Poe Cottage, the prizes reflected our Bronx roots! A year membership to Citibike, NY Jets and Giants signed posters, NY Red Bulls tickets, and autographed copies of A Colony in a Nation by Chris Hayes rounded off our Bronx selection of prizes.
Final thanks to our many community partners, friends, and corporate sponsors who attended the event. It was an evening to celebrate, catch up with one another and energize for the year ahead. UNHP thanks you for your support and involvement in our work towards our mission. Thanks to our volunteer photographers, especially Devin Moss and Joanie Gasser as well as our staff, interns and volunteer raffle sellers.
