Homeownership

Get Free Help You Can Trust to Resolve Mortgage, Credit and Lien Issues

Stabilizing homeownership and preventing foreclosure for low-income families is the main goal of UNHP’s work in one to four family homes.

If you are struggling to make mortgage, water, sewer, or tax payments or if you foresee that you may start to miss payments, now is the time to act. Call us at (718) 933-2539 to schedule an appointment or speak to Jumelia.

Working with the Parodneck Foundation, a group that has been delivering foreclosure prevention services for over twenty years, UNHP offers foreclosure prevention counseling, referrals to legal assistance and weatherization grants, help with water bill issues, low cost loans to senior citizens and help with other credit, debt and lien issues.

Noemi, a HUD certified counselor, provides assistance to both homeowners and those interested in buying a home.

Please feel free to call UNHP directly at (718) 933-2539 if you receive an offer for refinancing or loan modification that seems too good to be true.  We have worked with many homeowners who have lost precious funds working with disreputable mortgage help companies. Schedule an appointment to have our foreclosure prevention counselor review the deal you are considering.

If you are thinking about purchasing or refinancing a home, please download UNHP's Homeownership Guide, available here.
