Take control at the next Getting Ahead Financial Education Workshop, sponsored by University Neighborhood Housing Program. Cycle begins Thursday, April 23rd from 6:00-8:00PM at Concourse House, 2751 Grand Concourse.
Course held: Thursdays, July 30th, August 6th, 13th, 20th, & 27th
Course meets for 5 workshops (1 day a week), covering financial worries around garnishment, debt collectors, credit cards, student loans, banking products, retirement, savings and more. Individually, the financial advisor can also help with all personal financial concerns.
Participants will receive a copy of their Credit Report along with an analysis, as well as guidance on credit building and debt management. Graduates receive a completion certificate, and a detailed savings and spending plan. Access to free banking package at a local credit union and one-on-one advising is also included.

A Forum on The Cost of Water: Balancing Fairness, Affordability and Water Conservation
UNHP is hosting our annual housing forum at Fordham's Lincoln Center Campus on Wednesday, June 24th from 8:30-11:30 AM. The topic is The Cost of Water: Balancing Fairness, Housing Affordability and Conservation.
The panel is in formation and currently includes representatives from University Neighborhood Housing Program, S.W.I.M. (Stormwater Infrastructure Matters) Coalition and Enterprise Community Partners.
UNHP's recently released Affordable Water for Affordable Housing report about the impact of the cost of water on affordable housing will be discussed as well as initiatives to look at ways of reducing water use and alternative ways of looking at allocating the costs related to water, sewer and stormwater.
