​2015 UNHP Bronx Beer Hall Bash

The UNHP 2015 Bronx Beer Hall fundraiser was a Bronx triumph! The Wednesday, September 16th event was attended by over 170 people and thanks to our sponsors, attendees, contributors and raffle buyers we raised over $50,000! All proceeds support our work to create and preserve affordable housing and bring needed resources to the northwest Bronx.

UNHP current and former staff members, affordable housing partners, Northwest Bronx Resource Center colleagues, interns and supporters enjoyed an evening a Bronx-brewed craft beers, Italian specialties and fellowship at the UNHP Bronx Beer Hall Fundraiser.

A special honor given to long-time UNHP staff member, Gregory Jost, Bronx-brewed beer from the Gun Hill Brewery, Coal-fired brick oven gourmet pizza from John’s Pizza on Arthur Avenue, Italian fare provided by Chef David Greco of Mike’s Deli and raffles prizes donated by a wide range of Bronx institutions were among the highlights of the evening.

Jim Buckley, on behalf on the UNHP board, staff and thousands of NYC tenants whose homes were improved thanks to his work, presents an award to long-time staff member, Gregory Jost.

The Bronx Beer Hall, owned and managed by two Bronx brothers, Paul and Anthony Ramirez, is located in the center court of the historic Arthur Avenue Retail Market. UNHP event attendees enjoyed the beer, food and good company among the delicious smells and atmosphere of this authentic market created in 1940 as part of Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia’s plan to get pushcarts off NYC streets.
